Ramirez Could Miss Time

Vote 0 Votes

Aramis Ramirez will have a MRI on his left knee in Chicago on Thursday and he may be sidelined for an indefinite period of time according to a report in the Chicago Tribune on Wednesday night. Ramirez aggravated the injury on Wednesday attempting to beat out a throw from J.J. Hardy in the 2nd inning.

Ramirez said the knee "has been sore for two, three weeks" and he first injured it on May 12th in Philadelphia.

The Cubs are hoping Ramirez will only miss a "few of days" and they were planning on giving "Ramirez some time off this week to recover" but were trying to win the series against the Brewers. Ramirez is expected to rejoin his teammates in Atlanta on Friday.

this guy is a notorious loafer. baker even justified it. look back at the play where he got hurt. he was loafing out of the batters box (again) . when the third baseman bobbled the ball, he started running hard. if he would have hustled the whole time he would have been safe and not hurt. call it like it is.
