Ramirez to the DL....Floyd Returns

The Cubs placed Aramis Ramirez on the 15-day DL before Monday night's game against the Houston Astros and reinstated Cliff Floyd from the bereavement list. Ramirez was put on the 15-day DL with tendonitis in his left knee and the roster move was retroactive to June 7th.

The Cubs also reinstated Cliff Floyd from the bereavement list and he was not in the dugout on Monday night according to a report on Cubs.com.

According to the same report on Cubs.com, Henry Blanco took batting practice and is expected to begin a minor league rehab this week. Also, reports over the weekend out of Chicago stated Daryle Ward could start he minor league rehab this week as well.

I may be wrong, but the day after the injury, I remember the SCORE reporting that ARam's agent said there was a slight tear in the patella tendon. Did anyone else hear this? Are the Cubs playing games with injury reports again.
