Wade Miller’s days in the Cubs organization could be coming to an end according to a report late Monday night from the Chicago Tribune. Dave van Dyck mentioned, “With Wade Miller’s minor-league rehab at an end, it appears his days with the Cubs could be numbered.”
The report goes on to mention Jim Hendry will meet with Wade Miller in the next few days to figure out what is next for him and the Cubs. Jim Hendry has tried for the past two seasons to give Wade Miller enough time to become the pitcher he once was and with Miller’s velocity nowhere near his days in Houston he was very ineffective for the Cubs this season….but for the first time a report from the mainstream media mentioned Miller’s velocity “barely topping 80 mph.”
Hendry is apparently going to try to help Miller find another team.
