Michael Wuertz will be on the 25-man roster; Wade Miller has made the opening day roster and will likely be the Cubs 5th starter in the rotation when the club breaks camp in little over a week. According to a report on Cubs.com, Miller is “penciled in as the Cubs’ 5th starter”. This will be the first opening day roster Miller has been on since 2004. The same report stated Michael Wuertz has made the roster, leaving one spot in the bullpen and the battle is between Rocky Cherry and Angel Guzman. Cherry was impressive again on Monday against the Brewers….he pitched a perfect 9th and Guzman is set to pitch in relief on Tuesday against the Rockies.
