From the Wire....Rothschild and Entire Coaching Staff Will Not Return

According to an article in Wednesday morning's Sun-Times, Dusty Baker's coaching staff was told on Tuesday their 1-year contracts would not be renewed for 2007.

Larry Rothschild, Dick Pole, Gene Clines, Gary Matthews, Chris Speier, Juan Lopez and Benny Cadahia will not return unless asked by the new manager.

I would like Spier to come back as well. He was a decent 3B coach. The hell with the rest of them.

How about some coaches that are compensated and retained based on results...

Burn the towels...burn them all.

Spier was probably the best out of the lot. Such a

relief to have him at third then Wavin Wendel Kim.

If Spier came back, I would be fine with it. I am really thrilled that Towel is gone along with the hitting coaches.
