Zambrano was taken to a local hospital, the X-Rays were negative according to a report and according to Phil Garner, from Cubs.com, “He wasn’t able to throw. Let’s just leave it at that.”

Zambrano was struck above the right elbow by the back swing of Cora. Zambrano was scheduled to pitch two innings in the game and the Cubs lone representative was not inserted into the game. Zambrano is scheduled to be back in Chicago on Wednesday morning for further tests and Garner said after the game it was a bruise.
