Game Time – 9:10pm C.T. on Comcast SportsNet, WGN Radio, XM Radio Channel 189
Location – Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles

Sean Marshall (1-0, 7.71) vs. Brad Penny (2-1, 1.50)

Sean Marshall goes tonight for the Cubs against Brad Penny. Marshall is looking for career win #2 and the Cubs are shooting for their second consecutive series win. Derek Lowe held the Cubs offense in check allowing only 1 run on 5 hits on Tuesday night….Todd Walker was held hitless and Ronny Cedeno had the night off.

Aramis Ramirez (.195) has to start hitting on a consistent basis. Ramirez looks uncomfortable at the plate and he appears to be over swinging….he has even admitted as much….

Juan Pierre had a decent night on Tuesday and is the obvious catalyst of the offense. The Juan Pierre Factor is huge and he is the one to watch tonight against Penny. When Pierre is on base his distractions give the Cubs’ offense more focus and better pitches from the opposition.

Jacque Jones had a good night on Tuesday going 2 for 3, but Barrett and Walker’s bat has cooled off….the Cubs do not need for that to happen to Cedeno.

The best bullpen in the National League lost the game on Tuesday, but the offense has to be able to plate more than a single run if the Cubs expect to win on a consistent basis.

Both of the games the Cubs have lost on this current road trip have been in 1 run ballgames and the Cubs scored a combined 2 runs in those games. In the 3 wins they have scored a total of 22 runs….

Bring the wood tonight guys!!!
