Here is the report from Cubs.com

According to Cubs.com, Marquis Grissom announced his retirement from baseball on Tuesday

Will update if more info becomes available with stats for both pitchers from the Baseball Cube and when more info is available on the Marquis Grissom Retirement

Here is the official release on the Grissom retirement from Cubs.com.

The trade of Wellemeyer could open up a spot for either John Koronka, David Aardsma or Jae Kuk Ryu. Grissom’s retirement should put Angel Pagan on the 25-man roster.

Dusty Baker was on XM Radio on Tuesday morning and he mentioned the possiblity of Pagan making the team and brought up how much they have like David Aardsma this spring. I will put a full recap of the 20-minute interview up on the CCO as soon as possible.

Check back for updates, still trying to find info on the two pitchers that were acquired in the Wellemeyer trade.
