The CCO has RSS Feeds from, Fox, Yahoo Sports and USA To access the RSS Feeds, go to the CCO Scoreboard and click on either ‘Cubs News From the Wire’, ‘American’ or ‘National’ and you will get the news…. If anything happens, you will be able to read about your Cubbies here!! Also, starting today there will be as many articles as necessary to keep up with the Cubs….please do not just read the top article….scroll down….use the ‘Search’ function in the Scoreboard….wouldn’t you hate to miss an article on your Cubbies? Back to the news….

Buck Martinez, Manager of Team USA, was talking about the Cubs on Wednesday morning with Mark Patrick. Many of the Cubs Faithful are having their doubts about how much playing time Ronny Cedeno and Matt Murton will get this season. Martinez brought up a conversation he had with Dusty during the Cubs Convention and he said Dusty is high on Cedeno and Murton and they will be the starting shortstop and left fielder for the Cubs. He also mentioned Dusty is looking forward to having Juan Pierre and Jacque Jones. Martinez is still saying Pierre could be the best move of the off-season.

John Donovan on released his NL Central Preview on Wednesday. He thinks it is a three-team race between the Cardinals, Astros and Cubs….but he reminds us that the Pirates and Brewers could be a force. Donovan thinks the Cubs have the best bullpen in the division with Dempster, Howry, Eyre and Michael Wuertz and thinks Juan Pierre will be the Newcomer of the Year.

USA Today ran an article about “30 tips for any fan planning a trip to Spring Training this year” and tells all how to get autographs at HoHoKam….thanks for letting the secret out.

Ken Rosenthal from joined the club of people thinking the Cubs paid too much this off-season for Scott Eyre and Bobby Howry.

The CCO’s favorite off-season grader, Dayn Perry from, released two more of his Top Prospects lists. Numbers 41-50 does not mention any of the Cubs prospects, but numbers 31-40 lists Felix Pie at #32.

Elliott Kalb posted a good article late on Wednesday night about Sammy Sosa on and Dusty Baker’s comments on Sosa were in the Chicago Tribune. Hopefully retirement will be as good to Sosa as baseball was.

It was great seeing Ryan Dempster, Dusty Baker, Larry Rothschild, Glendon Rusch and Jerry Hariston Jr. on WGN Wednesday night from Spring Training. It seems like an eternity since the Cubs were on TV.

A couple of ‘freebies’…. I have a few extra tickets for the March 2nd and March 5th games at HoHoKam, if you’re going out to Mesa for the opening weekend and are interested in some General Admission Tickets, they’re yours for the asking. Just send me an email at [email protected] Obviously, once they’re gone – they’re gone. Also, I also had some 2006 pocket schedules printed out, so if you’d like a copy of the .pdf file to print out on your own, send me an email to the same address.

Well that’s the news….and I’m sticking to it!!
