Chicago Cubs in the World Baseball Classic (WBC)

Major League Baseball has just announced the player roster for Team USA. Michael Barrett and Derrek Lee will represent the Cubs on Team USA. Here is the rest of the 42-man roster that was just announced.

Lee and Barrett will join fellow Cubs Neifi Perez (Dominican Republic), Aramis Ramirez (Dominican Republic), Henry Blanco (Venezuela) and Carlos Zambrano (Venezuela). According to a report on XM Radio this morning, Ryan Dempster will not pitch for Team Canada in the WBC. The report cited Dempster's concern with his recently repaired shoulder affecting the rest of the upcoming season.
