A report from the Chicago Tribune came out just after 9:30pm CDT on Wednesday night stating the Cubs will offer Corey Patterson arbitration before the deadline next Tuesday (December 20th). The article goes on to state Patterson could be the Cubs right fielder in 2006 according to a statement from Jim Hendry.

The article from the Chicago Tribune mentions the Cubs interest in Jacque Jones, Cliff Floyd, Preston Wilson and Carlos Lee in 2007.

The Cubs still have Carlos Zambrano, Jerry Hariston. Jr, Will Ohman and Juan Pierre that must be offered arbitration before the December 20th deadline.
