Bobby Howry Could Become a Cub Before Thanksgiving
According to reports Tuesday morning in the Daily Herald and Newark Star-Ledger, free agent right-handed reliever Bobby Howry, from the Cleveland Indians, is close to a deal with the Chicago Cubs. According to The Newark Star-Ledger, Howry was quoted on Monday to be nearing a deal with the Cubs. The deal would be in the 3-year range and worth more than the $11 million dollars the Cubs just signed Scott Eyre for.
Howry would give the Cubs an experienced right-handed setup man. Eyre and Howry could provide the Cubs with excellent options in the 8th inning before turning the game over to Ryan Dempster.
