Chicago Cubs Online launched in October of 2005 and touted itself as ‘A Site for the Cubs Faithful.’ Since then, the CCO, as it is commonly referred to, has carved out its spot in the vast Cubs blogosphere where Cubs fans worldwide can get the latest news and updates on the Chicago National League Ball Club.
Over the years the CCO has had its reports picked up by such outlets as the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, the Los Angeles Times, Sports Illustrated and FOX Sports and has been used as a reference for books about the Chicago Cubs.
Chicago Cubs Online features daily reports and articles on news and transactions, minor league updates, prospect updates, trade rumors and from time to time even opens the Cubstory book to take a look back at the storied past of the North Side Nine.
The CCO currently has three writers on staff. Neil Finnell launched the site in 2005 and provides the daily updates on news, rumors and game recaps at the Major League level. Brian McCabe has been writing for the CCO since January of 2006. Brian provides his unique perspective on the Cubs in his weekly column ‘The CCO, Live from Wrigleyville’ and at one point hosted ‘The CCO Radio Show’. Tom Usiak has covered the Cubs minor league system for the site since December of 2010 and provides detailed information on the Cubs organization throughout the year.
The CCO can be followed on Twitter and Facebook and can be contacted through email.
